Passive sampler for particulate matter

Short history

Our diffusive sampler was first developed by Martin Ferm in 1989.

Martin has been employed at IVL since 1973 and has developed several sampling techniques, among those a horizontal flux sampler for ammonia and a series of low cost PMx samplers.
The first sampler including diffusion was the denuder, used for measuring very low NH3 concentrations and first used in 1977 .
